Eligibility is now open to Marylanders age 60 and older, and a weekly Live Call feature has been added to the program.

How Does it Work?

Senior Call Check and Social Connections is a daily check-in services that provides an additional layer of comfort to loved ones of older adults who live alone.  Calls or text messages are sent at a regularly-scheduled one-hour time-period between 8am and 5pm. If there is no answer, two more automated calls are made before emergency contacts are notified. If emergency contacts cannot be reached (does leaving a voicemail count as "reaching?), non-emergency service providers are contacted and asked to conduct a welfare check.

The service is free to Maryland residents 60 and older.
